If you’re a keen walker looking for a place to stay in Matlock, then the Farmyard Inn is in the perfect location for you. A former farm, the Inn is located in the quaint village of Youlgrave, which benefits from having many walks which pass through it, one of which is the edge of the Bradford Dale.
The Inn provides a very welcoming environment, serving homemade food for guests. For those who wish to explore Derbyshire’s Peak District, the Farmyard Inn is within the Peak District National Park, and so is a great choice for budding walkers. Within this area, walkers can explore the rich valleys and outstanding limestone.
The Inn has many traditional features which guests can enjoy, including a log fire and a cosy snug. Quirkily named, guests can choose from the four available bedrooms; the Pig Sty, the Cow Shed, the Sheep Pen and the Stable. All of which contain an en-suite bathroom. Guests have individual access to these rooms straight from the car park, and breakfast is served in the Inn’s dining room.
